Opperation Christmas Child by Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas child is an initiative that spreads love to children around the world who are in terrible living situations. These boxes are purposefully packed to provide much needed resources including notebook and pencils for schools (if available) , clothing items for comfort, safety and dignity and play items with a special soft toy so each child feels loved. children are also then given an opportunity to join in classes to learn about God if they wish. Many of the volunteers who run this spend the entire year in the lead up to October making soft toys, pencil cases, toiletries and library bags to hold their belongings in. There are a number of ways you can support this initiative .

Animal Protection Society of Western Australia
The Animal Protection Society of WA Inc. (APS) is a no-kill dog and cat refuge with an unwavering commitment to rescue and nurture abandoned, neglected and mistreated dogs and cats. Incorporated since 1974, the refuge caters for up to 24 dogs, 65 cats and 45 kittens at any one time, and relies solely on the selfless efforts of a group of wonderful volunteers led by a volunteer management committee. The APS aims to elevate the status and promote acceptance of unwanted companion animals through advocacy and education. Ultimately, we endeavour to provide loving forever homes to the dogs and cats in our care. APS is run completely by volunteers. We are always in need of more volunteers.
