Selecting the right Educator for your child.

The Coordination Unit  will make every effort to match you with an Educator that will meet you and your child's needs, in your specified location. We will provide contact information for suitable services or ask educators with vacancies to initiate contact. From there it is up to you to choose which educator best suits your families needs.  Care cannot commence until the service has received your completed application form and required documentation

Visiting the Educator

Please contact the office or your educator directly to arrange a convenient time to your visit the educators home. Educators are screened for their suitability to care for young children. However, they all have different personalities and have different skills and home environments to offer. It is you, the Parent/Guardian, who must make the final selection as to the most suitable educator/environment for your child. 

 

When visiting the Family Day Care home it is important that you take your child/children with you. If possible choose a day when you will also meet the other children your child/children will be in care with. It is also important that you and the educator discuss all aspects of the placement.  It is recommended that you prepare any questions you may want to ask the educator and set enough time aside for the educator to get to know you and your child.
